Day 1:  Arrival in Iceland

Arrival in Keflavík airport where the group will be greeted by representatives from Terra Nova Incentives and transfer assistants. Transfer to Reykjavík.  Check-in at the hotel in Reykjavik

Treasure hunt in Reykjavik
The group arrives in a bus to the centre of Reykjavik. There a guide instructor is waiting and the group is divided into teams.  Each team will get an instant camera, maps and other things they will need for their treasure hunt.  The photos they take during the hunt will provide them with a lasting memory of the day.

During your adventure you will see the main sights of the city and do assignments in the City Hall, Kraum Design Shop and in an art gallery to name a few. The teams will get envelopes marked from one to ten with fun, factual and silly clues that will lead them from one assignment to the next.

The goal is to find the lost treasure of the elves, but as legend has it, the elves find themselves a new home each January. This time however a treasure was lost during the move and the group will need to help the elves find their lost gold.
Assignments vary from decoding the old runes to blending your own elixir of life. In the end all the teams will finish together at their last stop and make a toast to life.  Information about the elves and their part in our folk tales is blended into this game so the group will get a quick peek into our beliefs and culture as they discover the city in a fun and unusual way.

Day 2:  Self-drive jeeps.  ATV’S - Geysir – Gullfoss

Today you will take the wheel yourselves and drive in jeeps.  A professional driver will lead the group and you will also have a map.  We start by going to the Thingvellir National Park.  This is a historical site where the Icelandic parliament was held for several centuries.  It also has high geological interest since in Thingvellir you can see a part of the Mid Atlantic Rift where various cracks and fissures have opened in the earth crust.
We continue to the famous geothermal area of Geysir where the Strokkur hot spring ejects its water column high into the air every 5 – 10 minutes or so and where numerous small springs are boiling and bubbling.

Then we head towards the Haukadalur valley where we will enjoy an exciting ATV ride (all terrain vehicle).  We drive in Haukadalur forest, crossing beautiful clear rivers on our way up to the hills.  From the hills  we have a nice view of the glacier Langjökull, Mount Hekla, Kerlingarfjöll Mountinas and much more on a clear day. The tracks are chosen depending on the level of skills of the participants at each time.  Then we only have a short drive to reach Gullfoss, a spectacular waterfall which Icelanders refer to as the “golden” waterfall, surely one of the most beautiful in Iceland.  At the end of the day return to Reykjavík.

Day 3: Horse back riding – River rafting

We start the day by driving towards Hveragerði village in the fertile agricultural South region.  We stop at the Eldhestar horse centre where we will get to know the unique Icelandic horse. After getting the necessary equipment and some instructions, we will have an adventurous 1 – 1 ½  hour riding tour in the charming countryside of South Iceland.  (this tour is accessible for  unexperienced riders).

In the afternoon we will try a different way of travel.  We drive to Hvítá glacial river in South Iceland (1 ½ hours drive from Reykjavík) and go for an exciting river rafting tour.  Hvítá River has a perfectly balanced mix of serene canyons and adrenaline pumping waves and rapids. We raft for 7 kilometers and at one point participants get to jump from a cliff into the river (for those who wish).

Day 4:  Whale watching – The Blue Lagoon

In the morning, you will be taken to Reykjavík harbour.  There you will start a refreshing boat trip in order to spot some of the many whales and dolphins that arrive close to Iceland’s shore in the summertime (tours available from April – October).   Approximately 3 hours.

In the afternoon a trip to the Blue Lagoon.  This is a unique site where guests enjoy relaxing in warm geothermal water surrounded by magical black lava fields.  The Blue Lagoon’s warm water and natural active ingredients;mineral salts, silica and blue green algae help you relax and escape the stress and strain of daily life.  Bathing in this surreal environment is a unique experience no one should miss !

In the evening, farewell dinner at the Perlan Restaurant.
Perlan is without a doubt one of Iceland’s top gourmet restaurants, located in a spectacular building, the “pearl”; a dome built on warm water tanks.  From Perlan Restaurant you have a panoramic view of Reykjavík while the top of the building where you are seated gently rotates.
